He brings years of training and practical experience to California Neurosurgical Institute, with convenient locations in Bakersfield, Encino, and Valencia, California.

Dr. Lobo was raised in Ohio. He completed one of the six accelerated undergraduate and medical school programs in the country at Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown and earned his medical degree within six years. 

After finishing his medical degree, Dr. Lobo went on to complete his residency training in neurological surgery at the fourth highest-rated hospital in the country, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Lobo also did a two-year fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation that gave him hands-on training in the treatment of complex brain tumors that originate at the base of the skull.

Afterward, Dr. Lobo completed an additional one-year fellowship in minimally invasive and endoscopic skull base surgery at the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. He continues to take great pride in continuing his education in order to remain on top of the most cutting-edge treatments available for his patients. 

Dr. Lobo also strongly believes in educating his patients about their conditions and treatment options. He always takes the time to explain how specific treatments work and their possible side-effects, so he can make joint decisions with his patients about their health care. By working as a team, Dr. Lobo empowers his patients to take control of their health care decisions during what can be an uncertain and stressful time of their lives.
